How did I end up as a hairstylist, you ask?

Growing up in small town Alberta, in a family of daughters, my mom would use her untrained hands to line us all up for a haircut. She said she had missed her calling as a hairdresser. 🙄

Didn’t matter how many times she did it, it never got better. This is how my hairdressing career was born! 

Fast forward to high school, I was doing all my friends' hair in their kitchens. Learning as I went. I had a natural talent for it, I guess. I also began to notice that it was so much fun! 

Once I graduated, I moved to the “big city” of Edmonton with some friends and eventually listened to that little nudge you sometimes feel. I signed myself up for hair school. My parents were so proud! I always say that hairdressing ✂️ found me.

Today, hair usually has a starting point and a social media-driven hair goal. I get it. These images catch my eye 👀 when I scroll too. I can create a look for you that is inspired by your hair goals. 

If you come and see me, you will get to know that I will have a vision for your hair and put you on a hair plan. I will be honest and realistic about your expectations.

I know all these things can seem daunting. I’m a straight shooter. I can help you with all the things. This is what I live for. 

I have a soft spot for any type of blonding service and I can give a brunette that punch of intrigue to make you unique. Grey hair is part of my vocab. I can hide it or blend it, whatever floats your boat. 

My haircutting gives hair that easy flow. Lived-in cuts. You can style it at home! I am always up for a big change or a micro-trim. You let me know where you are at. 

If you get to know me, you will learn that I am a true 🕵️‍♀️ crime addict. Podcasts, Dateline, I watch and listen until I scare myself but I always come back to it. I have done this since I was 8, Unsolved Mysteries...my absolute favorite. I know, a little strange. 

I like to cook for my husband and go out to restaurants for good food with friends. I am always checking out the YEG food scene. There is so much to discover! 

I love to explore the river valley with my trusty Goldendoodle Pongo.

I also love natural hot springs or an outdoor spa. This is what I spend my extra 💵 on. 

The Nordic Spa in Kananaskis is my happy  😊  place. 

I am the kind of person that spills coffee ☕️ on her white t-shirt, can never find matching socks and wreck any nice thing I own. As a result, I am constantly saying that “I can’t have nice things.” Maybe one day I’ll get it together, but probably not.
